In some rural districts it used to be common practice to keep a kettle of honeybush tea infusing on the stove ready for drinking while scenting the whole house — unlike tea prepared from Camellia sinensis, the product does not turn bitter with long-term simmering.
Honeybush is a sibling of Rooibos, cultivated in South Africa's Eastern Cape region. Just like its name boasts its flowers smell of honey. Our organic honeybush tea is similar in flavour to that of rooibos, although slightly fuller bodied with a sweeter somewhat honey taste. Most will agree that the smooth fruity, sweet, and delicate flavor of honey bush tea is among the best you can try.
